| Asymmetric Warfare Initiative 2004 (AWI-04) |
| Asymmetric Warfare Initiative 2004 (AWI-04) is a major Pacific Northwest-centered homeland security exercise that exercised military, local, state, and federal authorities in a maritime/coastal terrorism context, including weapons of mass destruction. Live (full-scale) episodes took place in Washington and California. The California event, AWI-04 (South), ran in conjunction with Exercise Determined Promise 2004 (DP-04) in August 2004. The Washington event, AWI-04 (North), occurred 5-7 October 2004. |
